This Privacy Policy describes how The Health Edit (thehealthedit.io) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit the site, subscribe to notices, or contact us.
Information we collect
We may collect:
- Information you send us, such as your name and email address when you write to contact@thehealthedit.io.
- Standard server and security logs (IP address, browser type, referring URL, and timestamps) processed by our hosting provider.
- Usage data from privacy-focused analytics, if enabled. We use Plausible Analytics on this site, which is designed not to use cookies or collect personal identifiers.
We do not require an account to read the site. Staff access to the private admin area uses a magic-link email and is limited to authorized editors.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Operate, secure, and improve the publication.
- Respond to contact requests.
- Understand aggregate traffic and which stories are read.
- Send operational messages related to content you asked us about.
We do not sell your personal information.
Advertorials, affiliates, and cookies
Some pages are advertorials or otherwise promote products, including offers we operate or earn a commission on. Outbound offer links may include tracking parameters so a merchant or network can attribute a sale to a page. Those third parties have their own privacy practices.
Our site itself is not built around advertising cookies. Third-party destinations you click through to may set their own cookies.
Service providers
We use vendors to host the site, store content, send email, and measure traffic. They process information only as needed to provide those services. Current categories include website hosting, database and file storage, transactional email, and analytics.
How long we keep information
Contact correspondence is kept as long as needed to respond and for ordinary business records. Server logs are retained for a limited period for security and debugging. Analytics data is kept in aggregate.
Your choices
You can decline cookies in your browser. Because we do not run a marketing email list from this policy by default, there is no newsletter unsubscribe here — if that changes, we will say so at signup.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. Email us to make a request.
Children
The site is intended for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
